My name is Zach Cooper and I am a Psychology major at Georgia Regents University. I am a Junior, and I plan to apply to a number of MSW programs upon graduation. I am highly interested in psychology, mental health, sociology, social work, substance abuse, and literature. I am also interested in research opportunities as well as internship opportunities. My current major is Psychology, but I plan to attain an Masters in Social Work. I believe that my BS in Psychology will provide me with a solid foundation to build on; especially since I want to specialize in Behavioral/Mental Health. I live in Georgia and will therefore be applying to all the accredited MSW programs in the state in addition to the University of South Carolina; Kennesaw State University is my first choice.
Intended Job Path
I intend to enroll in graduate school upon graduating with a BS in Psychology. I am applying to a number of MSW programs that offer concentrations in Mental/Behavioral Health. I endeavor to graduate, become licensed, and work with adults and teenagers with various behavioral and psychological dysfunctions. I have a profound desire to help others who desperately need help, and I believe that a career in social work will help me satisfy that desire.
