What HonorSociety.org Means to Me: July monthly writing challenge
Jul 05,2015Having membership to Honor Society.org means a lot to me. Being able to have this experience as a member means so much because it goes to show that my hard work and dedication as a student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro has not gone unnoticed. Throughout my college experience, I have worked hard to keep good grades because that is important to me to do well. Becoming a member of the honor society motivated me even more to maintain those grades and to achieve even better ones because I am proud to be in it. The honor society makes me proud because they recognize students achievements, which will help them continue with their success. It is always an honor to be recognized. Since being a member, I have improved tremendously with my grade point average rising every semester because of the encouragement and privileges I receive from being a member, I would not want to lose that and the numerous chances that are given to receive scholarships.
I have benefitted greatly from being in the Honor Society because of the opportunities given for finding amazing internships. I was given the internship opportunity of traveling on a discounted price to an amazing city of my choice (Paris, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, London, Chicago) and participate in a internship for a month long, that would help with my major in school. If taken, I know the experience would be like no other and very beneficial and giving me the opportunity to travel and see amazing places. I also was given another opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. with other members of the honor society for intern possibilities. Furthermore, I have been able to further my leadership and network qualities by entering to become a chapter leader for the honor society on my campus and recruit other members and build our connections. I appreciate so far what being a member has done for me and I look forward to the future opportunities that will be in store for me.
