I am currently studying the undergraduate course in Business with a major in Finance at Indiana University Bloomington. My hard work and sincerity have earned me the Highest Distinction Award, which is given to limited number of students for excellence in academics. Being born in a business family, I have developed keen analytical and decision-making skills. It has also made me ambitious and shaped my desire to start my own entrepreneurial venture in the future.
At Indiana, I have strived to further enhance my organization, leadership and communication skills by participating in diverse activities and also through my leadership roles. I am the Vice-President of Kelley Portfolio Management Club, a Kelley School of Business Club. I have worked on the expansion of the club by developing a plan to further ameliorate success of the club. Besides being the Teaching Assistant for the Accountancy course (A-100), I am Budget Coordinator of Future Social Leaders Club. All of these have helped me tremendously in widening my horizon of knowledge and also increased my self-confidence greatly. I am also a member of Civic Leadership Development. I had also travelled to Washington DC to volunteer for Foods and Friends Organization.
I have attempted to harness my passion for creative inquiry by engaging in several scholarly endeavors outside the classroom. It has led me to author a book titled, ‘Journey of the Moon on Earth’, based on my grandfather’s life. It tells a story of a man who rose from nothing to become a successful industrialist, only because of his grit, determination, hard work and never-say-die attitude. As a summer intern, I was selected to work at Bharti Waters Pvt Ltd where I gave advice on financial decisions. Besides being a great learning experience, it also gave me a deep insight into the working of an organization. I have also attempted to learn the Japanese language, considered one of the toughest foreign languages in the world.
