So You Did It! Now What?

Around this time of year, many students are taking what seems to be a giant step. Yes, it is graduation time. The time when students move on or move out into the real world. The time when there are so many students enter the feeling of anxiety. They wonder what the future holds for them next, where to next?

It has been debated that some students who graduate High School rush into entering college. Is it really rushing into college? I would say I beg to differ. It all depends on the student. Some students are academically inclined, and so should go right ahead into college. The ones who do not possess this academic potential should wait a while to enter college. College is a fast paced environment, and a takes a really well rounded student to survive. Even the academically inclined student may fall if he or she is not able to survive in the world of adults.

Leaving High School at eighteen (18) does not automatically grant them the power to know how to react as an adult. What to do in certain situations. College professors would not care to fail him or her, they would have to look out for themselves.

In conclusion, college may not be for everybody. It is only for the strong academically and adult wise. The ‘babies’ should take a year off to learn how to behave as an adult, and take things more seriously, before engaging on the road to college.
