The Semester Starts with a Bang!

The first two weeks of class have been very enjoyable and allowed me to meet a lot of new friends. The work load of a PhD student is quite heavy. I knew it was going to be a busy semester, but nothing could prepare me for what was to come. Starting with the first week we were required to read 21 peer reviewed journals articles. Week two requires us to read 23 peer reviewed journal articles. One of the other PhD students compared it to trying to drink from a fire hydrant that is turned on full blast. Luckily, I really enjoy the topic of the articles, so it’s a mix of work and play. The professors for my classes are top notch and make the classes enjoyable. However, I am already excited for Winter Break!!
