I was born in Jahrom, Fars, Iran in April 29, 1987. Having successfully passed the Diploma studies there at Shahid Mofatteh Exceptioanl Talent High School, with the three-year average of 19.83 out of 20, I was admitted to University of Tehran, Faculty of Engineering, in the field of Electrical Engineering in 2005, through a nation-wide entrance exam as the ranked 109 among more than 400,000 students seeking the undergraduate studies. And consequently, I successfully achieved the B.Sc. degree in 2009.
Pursuing my graduate studies, I tried the nation-wide entrance exam in Electrical Engineering in 2009 and I was ranked 15th among more than 23,300 graduate students in the Electrical Engineering and 9th among more than 10,000 graduate students in the field of Power System Engineering. I was so admitted in Power Systems Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. Working under supervision of Prof. Mahmud Fotuhi-Firuzabad, who is now the dean of the Electrical Engineering Department in Sharif University of Technology, I received the M.Sc. degree in 2011.
Presently, I am a Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University, Texas, USA, where I am pursuing my PhD. degree under supervision of Prof. Mladen Kezunovic at the Power System Control and Protection Lab.
My research interests include Power System Reliability, Asset Management, Maintenance Scheduling, Power System Monitoring, Control and Operation, and Smart Grid Applications.
