My name is Jayleen Malley! I am from a small town, Clayton, in California and have a family of 6. My two loving parents, Judy and Pat Malley have always been extremely supportive and encouraging of myself as well as my three brothers. I am currently a freshman studying nursing at California State University Chico.
Moving away to college was one of the most terrifying and most thrilling things I have done in my life thus far. Although, there is not a second that goes by that I regret my decision. Chico State has allowed me to strive to be the very best student I can be. As most people know, Nursing is a very challenging and impacted major and many people told me about the challenges I would embark very early on in my college career. Although, this hasn't stopped me. In fact, this has made me try even harder. I finished my first semester of college with a 4.0 GPA, which is something that I am extremely proud of. With the completion of my second semester, I am proud to say I completed my first year of college with a 3.8 GPA. I decided to take two summer courses at a local community college to work ahead and completed both those courses with a 4.0 GPA. Now as my Fall semester of my sophomore year begins I am looking forward to another semester of succeeding.
