Currently a student finishing up my last year of college at CofC for my Bachelors in Psychology then onto grad school for my masters. After that I would like to take a break and travel the world and do some volunteer work for experience as a psychologist and participate in a research assignment for those in third world countries who are affected by mental illnesses. My inspiration for my choice of career path in psychology was sparked by my mother and brother who are both affected with a mental disorder. As prisons and streets become overpopulated with those who cannot control their own mind, my interest in the mine and neuroscience will hopefully one day lead to a long term treatment that will lead to not just medicinal treatment but use both transitory strategies and therapy to ease these patients back into civilian life. Rather than pushing them out of the system and leaving them on the streets. People with mental illnesses are people too and they too have families who love and care for them.
