About (Summary)
Philosophy is my passion, and I aspire to attend graduate school at the University of Oregon with hopes of acceptance to their PhD program. My main philosophical interest of study is the metaphysical worldview of Madhyamaka Buddhism. While learning the basics of philosophy as an undergrad, nothing has impacted me as deeply as Nagarjuna and Chandrakirti's teachings in the madhyamakavatara. I have since taken to reading contemporary commentary on this ancient philosophy from scholars like Jay Garfield. Recently, I have been reading about yogic studies and plan on diving deeper into this philosophical view.

Intended Job Path
It is my hope to attend graduate school at the University of Oregon, with an ultimate aim to enter academia after receiving this degree. My dream is to become a professor of philosophy. I would love to teach metaphysics and Eastern philosophical world-views. This is something that is lacking from the standard undergraduate curriculum. By focusing on Western values I feel the budding philosopher is missing out on the diverse teachings of Eastern philosophy. Therefore, it is a goal of mine to expose future students to the metaphysics that has inspired my future study.
